A Muslim cleric in Australia has sparked outrage with his disparaging comments about women, who he claimed are “weapons” used by Satan to control men.
According to a report in the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail newspaper,
Australia’s most senior Muslim cleric — Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali, compared women who do not wear the Islamic headdress with “meat that is left uncovered in the street and is then eaten by cats.”
The cleric, after criticism from Australian Prime Minister John Howard and opposition from other civic leaders, has since apologized for the comments.
The remarks came during a Ramadan sermon in a Sydney mosque as the Sheik was trying to justify the actions of a group of Muslim men who had been jailed for alleged gang rapes.
Saying the makeup-wearing women enticed the men by “swaying suggestively,” and “dressing inappropriately” — without veils — the sheik set off a firestorm of controversy with his analogy about unguarded pet food.

WRONG! There is no justification for rape! Their entire attitude towards women is sickening and stuck back so far in time, I’m surprized they even no what the date is. I as a woman can not find words strong enough to describe what I feel whenever I read of this subject.But I’ll try. Screw them and their backwards religious ways. Europe is NOT the middle east! Get them before all western women are not safe on “thier” own streets. If “they” can not handle being around western women and how “we” dress. Then they can go back from whence they came. No one invited them and they are welcome to leave. Their arrogance astounds me.
How about this as a rebuttal? The way you dress and strut and act, Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali, can drive a democratic Christian thinking person mad. Outright mad! What if you were attacked on those reasons alone? What did you say? That would be wrong? What was I thinking. I beg forgivness. NOT!
LEAVE western women alone!!! The repurcusions will not be a good thing. Eventually it all will come to a head. Then where will you be? On the wrong end of things I can assure you.
Remember on whose soil you are residing….

I really love this sheik’s remarls. in his native egypt, most women don’t wear veils; is he suggesting they are open to rape? according to islam; the punishment to rape is death; is he suggesting those guilty boys to be justiced? i bet his flock increased after his stupid remarks; specially among men without daughters, sisters, aunts, nieces, and specially those without mothers.

He is obviously completely out of order. But I must say, why do some people judge our religion based upon one crazy idiot here or there? Most Muslims do not subscribe to these outlandish views, any more than most Christians follow various nutty pastors / cults. Islam is a religion with over 1.3 billion adherents. If you take all of these bad apples, together they are still a very insignificant number by comparison.
Actually, rape is regarded as one of the worst sins in Islam, and if brought to court requires severe sentencing, traditionally this was the death penalty. Women are our equals, and should be treated with respect. Prophet Muhammad taught “Paradise lies at the feet of your Mother”. There is no excuse or justification for those who mistreat their brothers and sisters in humanity.
Yeah maybe you are right stating that “Most Muslims” are not the extremists….There lies the problem….With a population of so many Muslims, “Most” is way too few.
When you have wackos who will kill torture rape pillage and behead all in the name of their God, Allah, and Muslims who are willing to die and kill for their beliefs, even just a few are way too many.
Oh and by the way…..Why are the “peaceful Muslims” so quiet when these atrocities happen? Are they too, afraid to speak out?
It just seems a bit strange to me, that with all of my posts about Muslim terrorism, you choose to respond to this one. You choose to pick out a few pacifists sentences about how your women are respected…….Come on I know that there is enough information now that Christians and Non Christians, are not going to buy that. We are a smaller world now and we can see the great respect that Islamofascist Muslims have for their women.

Then there are an astounding number of young muslim males in Europe that have not received that memo. The numbers are staggering!
I encourage you to google muslim rape Sweden and see what pops up.
Don’t shoot the messenger. Reach out to you community and educate your young males that it is not right to rape western women. All western women are not sluts. They are so misguided it is criminal. Muslim society is so sexually repressive it is no wonder the young males are ravenous.
If muslims find western society so damn reprehensible why do they migrate to the west?
Because it is not migration. It is a colonization.
