Nicole Kidman Helps indoctrinate children into anti-Christian beliefs

2007 October 28

Yes it’s true.atheisttrash1.jpg

I was sent an email by a friend of mine over at We The Sheep. He gave me a heads up on this:

There will be a new Children’s movie out in December called THE GOLDEN COMPASS. It is written by Phillip Pullman, a proud athiest who belongs to secular humanist societies. He hates C. S. Lewis’s Chronicle’s of Narnia and has written a trilogy to show the other side. The movie has been dumbed down to fool kids and their parents in the hope that they will buy his trilogy where in the end the children kill God and everyone can do as they please. Nicole Kidman stars in the movie so it will probably be advertised a lot. This is just a friendly warning that you sure won’t hear on the regular TV.

He’s an atheist and his objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism. I heard that he has made remarks that he wants to kill God in the minds of children, and that’s what his books are all about. He despises C.S. Lewis and Narnia, etc. An article written about him said “this is the most dangerous author in Britain” and that Pullman would be the writer “the atheists would be praying for, if atheists prayed.” Pullman said he doesn’t think it is possible that there is a God and he has great difficulty understanding the words “spiritual” and “spirituality.” What I thought was important to communicate is what part of the agenda is for making this picture. This movie is a watered down version of the first book, which is the least offensive of the three books. The second book of the trilogy is THE SUBTLE KNIFE and the third book is THE AMBER SPYGLASS. Each book gets worse and worse regarding Pullman’s hatred of God. In the trilogy, a young girl becomes enmeshed in an epic struggle against a nefarious Church known as the Magisterium. Another character, an ex-nun, describes Christianity as “a very powerful and convincing mistake.” As I understand it, in the last book, a boy and girl are depicted representing Adam and Eve and they kill God, who at times is called YAHWEH (which is definitely not Allah). Since the movie would seem mild if you viewed it, that’s been done on purpose.

They are hoping that unsuspecting parents will take their children to See the movie, that they will enjoy the movie and then the children will want the books for Christmas. That’s the hook. Pullman says he wants the children to read the books and decide against God and the kingdom of heaven.

If you decide that you do not want to support something like this, I suggest that you boycott the movie and the books. I googled a synopsis of THE GOLDEN COMPASS. As I skimmed it, I couldn’t believe that in a children’s book part of the story is about castration and female circumcision.

The basic moral of this article is:
This movie is a ploy by this atheist, Phillip Pullman, to sell his books to unsuspecting parents so they can give them to their children. In his books he really lets go with his beliefs, which are militantly against Christianity.

The movie might have been toned down so parents would not suspect what is in this radicals books, and the true agenda about Pullman’s self admitted goal, which is to destroy Christianity.

In addition, what will happen if this Philip Pullman faces Bro. Eli Soriano, presiding minister of the members of Church of GOD International? Will Pullman pees in horror? Or faint because of embarrasment? Or will he denonce his ways and join the Christians for good?

Nicole Kidman has sunk to a new low with this one. Like the saying goes, “money is the root of all evil”, and all those involved with this movie are definitely rooting themselves in evil. May GOD have mercy on their souls.

I pray that Jesus pour special blessings of Godly wisdom over the nation as a whole. I pray the true Holy Spirit be upon everyone who watches the movie or reads these books. I pray that God almighty will break through the darkness with true light!!! “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it…” the book of John 1:5 !!! I also pray for angelic protection to be increased in the name of Jesus!!! The book contradicts the Bible totally!!! It twists and manipulates the truth…it is lies!!!! So it is far from God written by the demon Satan himself…. who is no doubt gloating over this whole book and movie!!! Satan really can make humans look foolish…and decieve…as he is the father of lies!!! I pray God’s truth be made known to all !!!! So that all can spend eternity in heaven:)…. be blesssed

Readers this following comment has been edited by me ,Just A Voice, As this commenter’s words, and lack of respect for the Christian faith, speaks for itself.
it is obvious that this misguided person does not realize that non Christians, like himself, want to continue to try and brainwash the youth of America with their agenda. If this adult?!?!? wants to see this toned down anti Christian propaganda movie then buy his children the books that state the authors true hate of Christianity, then I feel sorry for your children (if you have any) however I will pray for you to have the blinders taken off of your eyes so you can see that what you are saying is wrong!

By The Way Mr. Smart person…I don’t have a priest I am non denominational Christian…..Not all Christian religions have Priests to tell us how to think, since you believe that we need someone to tell us how to think. ALSO Your comment has been edited to block the swearing that you use, and using the Lord’s name in vain……

“Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who uses His name in vain.”

Now move along start praying for your salvation!

HERE IS THE COMMENT BY RUSS:
Jeeeze – you guys sound real smart… I am glad you all able to take a reactionary stance to the surface level commentary on Christianity, did your local priest tell you all this… if you had read the stories with any objectivity or even a slightly unbiased academic eye you would realized the spiritual depth is much greater than Robert Pullman = kids kill jesus… for *Word Deleted for Using Lords Name In Vain* sake wake up… drink some coffee… the story is pretty *Word Deleted for Using Lords Name In Vain* spiritual in the extreme… there a several spiritual facets to the story, none of which make the statements you’d like to believe… after all we are reading a story, not listening to a Phillip Pullman sermon… remember when you freaks used to burn books and witches? are you gonig to stone him, burn his books? Grow up, please, thanks.

Did you miss the part about Metatron (one of God’s own angel’s) throwing God aside? Did you miss the part about the kids saving God from the Cliff Ghasts, but he dies anyways? Did you miss the part about Mrs. Coulter luring Metatron to the abyss and Lord Asriel dragging him into the abyss to die…

Did you catch the part about Lyra wanting to “rebuild” heaven?

To say this book is anti-Christian is not giving it enough credit… it certainly is not that decisive… and best of all its fiction… Just as i can enjoy The Chronicals of Narnia without buying into what ever bullshit agenda you think the author is imposing into the background noise of the story… surely you can consider that no matter what the author think his create stands on its own for interpretation…

please try again.. this time read the book, get the cliff notes if you need help… its certainly not waiving the banner of heaven… but its not burning it either… this story is about human kinds struggle for grace, understanding of the soul, and frequently brings up the ideas of innocences, and destiny… can you see Lyra as a symbolic “Eve”? do you see her fall from grace when she falls in love with Will? (book 3) Do you not see the church (as depicted in the fiction) as an institution to keep her ignorant?

You guys should really READ the books and make some intelligent observations… not just regurgitate what your single minded parent and priests tell you…

bye for now, I have a magic lion to sacrifice on the stone table!

Well, this comment is for our learned friend, Russ who hopefully takes time out from his busy schedule of sacrificing lions, hurling expletives and trying to rectify all that is wrong in his safe little world, so that he might read this and see why some people may be concerned about movies like this.

First off, Russ, the mind of a child is very impressionable (much like yours), and can be led astray by sublime notions. If you read up on Pullman (remember, you DID mention that folks read his books…read his bio sometime), you’ll see that this person has a serious agenda regarding Judeo-Christian beliefs. In this light, there can be nothing harmless about his Golden Compass storyline no matter how washed down it may be. Period.

In certain circles, that is called subliminal propeganda. You captivate the imagination of a child by using soft-kill tactics like this which leaves the door open for the next level.

The world has always been a dangerous place, and it is the “single-minded parent” or even a Priest that can help a child to make it to adulthood intact with common sense and morals that will help them in thier lifetime.

Sadly, it’s the slack-jawed liberal mindset like your’s that’s permeated our society, spilling over into our public schools, trashing the minds of children with garbage instead of teaching them life-skills.

If you want to laugh off and ridicule the alarmed reactions from Christians or any responsible parent while using fictional characters and quotes from Pullman’s book to make your point, so be it. But in doing so, you’re only making our point clearer.

Ok, so you’d have us all read Chronicles of Narnia so we can be influenced by CS Lewis religious agenda via his fictional characters? I read it in the 5th grade… it was great… I am still not Christian… :-)

In an attempt to subdue the theory that Pullman is out to single handedly destroy young Christians lets consider this… it’s not your religion that Mr. Pullman takes aim at, but a society in which children are raised in a spiritual and intellectual torpor. I think Pullman’s real personal message is that he believes children need to be left room to think for themselves, and that he respects their ability to do so, as we all know they can and will if given the chance. This has the “authorities” on what children should and shouldn’t be thinking terrified. The text certainly uses an orthodox-ish, maybe catholic-ish, likeness with his “Authority” to get this point across, which by the way is massively down played in the movie, but if you are really analyzing the text with an objective eye the story is about Lyra, not the Authority, and it certainly makes no direct references to the Vatican or Jesus, only God and angels in a kind of generic way… I believe “purgatory” is the only direct reference that might lead someone to believe he is talking about anything other than a generic spiritual “Authority”. Lyra represents a child struggling to realize her destiny in a society that is trying to tear her between the spiritual “authority” and her intellectual curiosity instilled by her upbringing in Oxford…

Somehow I do not believe any non-Christian children are going to be persuaded by “The Golden Compass” to be come anti-Christian… and surely there are Christian’s out there do not live in constant fear of their lively hood, or the world, being destroyed by authors of children stories. If you wish to accuse Pullman of anything, you can accuse him of having the belief that children should not be forced under the authority of a religion and if wish you can extrapolate that further to society should not be governed by spiritual or religious institutions which is probably more likely the case. This is not an attack on any one who practices religion in their personal spiritual lives. We have things like the separation of church and state which our modern and democratic society has accepted for the most part as the way to go, at least in a legal and federal sense… and in that instance, religious groups have no place in federal or state institutions, like schools and other public institutions. People in those institutions are free to conduct themselves in the manner that seams right to them based on there spiritual beliefs, but they can not, and are not allowed to use the federal, state or public institution to attempt to enforce their views on spirituality on others.

In the Golden Compass the Authority is depicted as a Spiritual Authority that has most definitely over stepped those boundaries… so unless you as a Christian believe that Christianity should decide, make, keep and dish out the moral and spirituals codes and laws unto everyone Christian or not, I don’t think you need to take offense that a small inquisitive girl and an armored bear who are able to escape the Authority and put an end to them trying to separate their souls from them in order to better control them as adults…

it seams like the more you fear it that he must be right, as if you have something to lose? Do you think Christians should have control of society? Do you think those whom don’t believe in God are going to hurt you or society?

Well Russ, interesting comeback but it’s still a retort based on fantasy.

The reality of it, however is that the United States of America was in fact, founded on Judeo-Christian values. It has endured incredible challenges in over 230 years as a soverign nation based upon those principles. It has offered opportunities to people of every race and guarenteed them the ability to pursue thier aspirations unhindered. The American system may be flawed in a number of areas, but there has never before been a nation that fostered and protected a society such as the United States has, based upon the principles set forth by the founding fathers who spoke of God in every document they wrote.

    Aparently, Christianity works.

You can say that seperation of church and state, the old thread-worn battle cry of liberals everywhere, is a serious issue, but if you read Thomas Jefferson’s comments on this, it is in regards to a petition he recived from a local church that wanted to be the “official church of the nation”. His stating that a need for seperation of church and state was to ensure that no one religion was singled out or favored as all were equal and protected as set forth by the constitution of the United States. It wasn’t until the early 60’s that Jefferson’s comment (seperation of church and state) was even used, and that was a reference taken from his letter to that church’s request, used during a court proceeding.

The whole concept of the “seperation of church and state” is to prevent any one particular religion from dictating or controlling government, such as the Vatican or the Church of England did hundreds of years ago and more recently, the Taliban in Afghanistan.

If you take a look at how American society has changed since the early 60’s and compare it to the “removal of God” in certain places, especially where children are present, you’ll see an alarming decline in morality, an increase in violent crimes, an increase in drug usage and the list goes on and on.

I don’t fear that Pullman is right, because I know that he is incredibly wrong and on many levels. As a matter of fact, there’s not much that I do fear in this world. What does alarm me however, is how he can target children with his hateful ideologies, and people like you, Russ, rush to defend him. That’s alarming because there have been other people throughout history that expressed thier masked ideologies of hate and the people praised them and placed them on pedestals. I suggest you read “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle) by Adolph Hitler. Really.

Now I know you’re not going to see a parallel here, but there is. Both authors, Pullman and Hitler had a terrible childhood. Both authors fantasize about a utopian world that they themselves can fix. Both authors targeted children in thier writings. Both authors were popular with thier readers, who hung on every word they wrote and said. And both authors hate God.

Adolph Hitler created a society devoid of religion. Lenin created a society that excluded religion (based on Karl Marx’s ideals). Mao led a society that crushed religion. These are prime examples and you can choose to beleive what you will, but any society without God thrusts the populace into harm’s way. A Christian society values life, an athiestic society consumes human life and promotes misery and fear.

If misery and fear is what you wish for, than go find a nice socialist or communist country to live in, and I use the term “live in” loosely, because sooner or later, your corpse will turn up in a mass grave somewhere.

But in this nation, God is a way of life for millions of Americans and as long as God lives here, there never will be mass fear or mass graves.

    So leave our children alone.

Why does this all have to be a big conspiracy? Can’t the writer just use his brilliant imagination to write an entertaining story? (which is is.) Yes, there is definitely some dislike towards the church in these books, but is it really unwarranted? Jesus started the Christian church as a family of believers who wanted no more than to have a relationship with God and strive to be more like Him.

Is that REALLY what the church is like now? It has unfortunately completely lost touch with what Jesus started and turned into an enterprizing, oppressive system.. Jesus was the perfect example of a humble man who wanted nothing more than to show his love for us, and this simple ideal has been turned into a massive church heiarchy, loaded to the brim with money and full of fraudulent practices. Jesus himself stormed the temple when he was here due to many of the same reasons that Philip Pullman wrote his books.

THAT is the church that Philip Pullman is attacking, not the Church that Jesus started, and frankly, I believe he is right on the money in many ways. God cares about your heart, not how much you go to church, how you dress for the ocassion, and how much money you throw in the plate.

  11. 2008 October 13

Thanks Paul I see that you have a few statements right, such as there is a Jesus, but you appear to be a bit confused on others.
First of all, we Christians do follow the teachings of Jesus. I, personally, am a non denominational Christian. I am not one to stray from his word, nor do I perform some old testament rituals, or any rituals, for that matter. I believe that the experience that you must have had with “Christians” might have been misleading, as I was raised a Catholic and now, because I have the intelligence to read and decide for myself, lets just say that I am no longer a catholic. I am not here to insult others beliefs on how to celebrate Jesus, even if they differ from mine. Anyone who praises Jesus is, in my opinion, is better off than someone who denounces or refuses to accept him. I do not know why you associate all Christians, or churches with “losing touch with what Jesus started and turning into an enterprising, oppressive system” This is simply not true.

Some would have you believe that Jesus was like a Hippie flower child….All Love Peace and Joy, do what feels good…NONSENSE!

You mentioned the storming of the temple, I believe you are referring to Matthew 21:12-16 Then Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who were selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold doves. He said to them, ‘It is written,
    “My house shall be called a house of prayer”;
but you are making it a den of robbers.’

Pullman did not write his books because he is, or was fed up with the church,or people not following the teachings of Jesus, like you state, or would like for us to believe, but he wrote his books to indoctrinate children into his Anti Christian beliefs, through fairy tales and story. He would be similar to the Money Changers in the above passage, only worse. They were using religion to make money, Pullman is using hatred of, and refusal to acknowledge Jesus to make his money.

Paul I need to cut this comment short here, but I am sure you will get the meaning of it. One last pearl of wisdom for you, and others reading this…..The Devil, or evil will not present itself as a big scary, ugly monster, but it will present itself to you as something kind and gentle, like a kids book, until it has no more use for you and has accomplished its goals and desires. Look, Read and decipher the true writings and the Person himself when you look at Philip Pullman.

I hope that for your sake, your “Flying Spaghetti Monster” , can bring you comfort in Hell… because it is obvious that you are Godless…Hey what a great segway for one of Ann Coulters wonderful books….”Godless” You should read it while you are waiting for YOUR Messiah, Obama, to give you the world. Matt, I see that you are using a Chico State University Computer. Judging by your English, or lack of it, you are either 1) the custodian, 2) a foreign exchange student from China or somewhere in the Middle East, or 3) just an idiot that my tax money is helping to pay your tuition through some sort of Pell grant or a student loan that you will never pay back.

Anyway, GOD/Jesus is definitely real, You probably are not.

Ask yourself WHY does this author say so many negative and hateful things about something that You say is not real? What is his point? The author does in fact believe that God is real and obviously views this as a threat, as would any evil minion of the Devil.

I would suggest that you give back the money we tax paying Americans have spent on your tuition thus far, and go back to where ever it is you live, and hide under a rock. We might be willing to write this loss on you off.

    sammi,
If you did not need to, would you work for someone who promoted your family to hate you? Would you actively choose to make that person more money so they could further their promotions of your hate? What if she starred in a movie that promoted your children turning against you because someone claimed that you were just a fantasy, not their parent? You needed to be destroyed and stricken from their minds…… How would you feel then?

You have to first believe to understand what movies like this do to our children and the impressionable feeble minded like yourself.
