Is Ron Paul Your Candidate?

Neo-Con - Paleo-Con - Liberal - Paleo-libertarian - Radical, etc, etc.

All these and more, are names given to different political beliefs…….Confused? So are many of you, out there, especially some of you Ron Paul supporters.

Although I am a Conservative both politically and socially, I have, recently, been called a Neo-Con, among many other names, by an Irate Ron Paul supporter. This guy thinks that he can throw a political affiliation catch phrase at me and he even believes that he knows what it means. I would have posted his multiple comments but I did not want to reward his stupid behavior.

I think that because I have a pro war attitude and that I fully support the troops and the military, in general, and that I believe America should remain a dominant force in the world, and that we are number one and we need to stay number one, this guy is confusing me with what he believes to be a neo-con. I do believe in government intervention when it comes to protecting its citizens, and as I said before, I support the war in Iraq and anywhere else that we need to be for our own good. If this makes me a neo-con, then either all of the known definitions of “neo-con” need to be changed or some Ron Paul supporters need to educate themselves as to what the differences are between neo-cons and conservatives.

If it was not for Ron Paul being a lunatic and blaming the USA for 9-11, his being so anti war, and actually stating that we were attacked on 9-11 because of America’s foreign policy and not because the islamofascists want to destroy our way of life, (The facts are that Jihadists hate us for our freedoms but despise our presence in the Middle East) and his support for homosexuals, and gay unions (maybe that’s who is calling me a neo-con) and maybe tone down his “Nazi-esque” attitude , he might have been a viable candidate………..No I don’t think so.

Ron Paul is not who people think he is. He’s an anti-war libritarian.in Republican’s clothing. What’s worse is he’s a nut job fringe politician who accepts money from Neo-Nazi groups. He’s the white supremacist’s candidate. Check it out here. If you are going to say “it’s guilt by association” No. He hasn’t given the money back.

“Paul states that politically sensible blacks are outnumbered “as decent people.” Citing reports that 85 percent of all black men in the District of Columbia are arrested, Paul wrote:”Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.” Paul also wrote that although “we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.”

I think that sums it up in a “NUT” shell.
Here is a brief summary of the different political terms and what they have become to mean:

Centrist – Just what it sounds like. Someone who doesn’t have any particularly strong ideological leanings in any direction.

Conservative – In the United States, political conservatives believe two basic things are important for keeping America strong: morality and responsibility. Therefore, conservatives often support government policies that promote moral behavior - like abstinence education - and that encourage responsible behavior - like lowering taxes on people who work hard and are financially successful.
Conservatives believe that traditional morality serves as the best protection against the ills that plague society. The government should encourage policies that promote morality and discourage immorality. Personal freedom demands personal responsibility, and liberty is no excuse for irresponsible behavior.

Social conservatives believe that human life has intrinsic value.

The abortion of unborn human babies is the murder of human life and should not be allowed in a civilized/ moral society.
Euthanasia devalues human life. It encourages society to decide the “worth” of human life based on perceived enjoyment of life rather than life’s intrinsic value.
Stem cell researchers should use only adult cells.

Conservatives believe Americans should help each other, but that society should not look to the government to solve all of its problems. Conservatives see the government as big and wasteful, and government programs too often reward immoral or irresponsible behavior. Conservatives believe that the government should keep a tight budget, and government programs - if they exist at all - should help people get strong and independent so that they do not need further government assistance.

Left-libertarian – The mild definition of a left-libertarian, an anti-statist who is somewhat fearful of corporate and religious influence on public life.

Liberal – Supports economic regulation to promote social justice and takes a progressive stance toward moral or cultural issues.

Libertarian – A libertarian opposes most or all government activites. Does not favor much or any government support for either moral or economic systems.

Neoconservative – A “neocon” is more inclined than other conservatives toward vigorous government in the service of the goals of traditional morality and pro-business policies. Tends to favor a very strong foreign policy of America as well.

Paleoconservative
– Paleo-Cons have many similarities to the the Greens and Nader and Buchanan. For example, Paleo-Cons are opposed to wars, they are opposed to the WTA and NAFTA and all those other international groups that infringe on America’s national sovereignty. Paleo-Cons also oppose companies sending their factories abroad, we want to also close the borders due to overpopulation/pollution/lack of resources, lack of jobs, immigrants lowering the wages, and integration problems. Paleo-cons also reject Zionism, reject Israel, and oppose the Israeli/Zionist control of the media, government, and influencial social organizations. Paleo-cons reject the Isaeli genocide of Arabs and support the rights of Arab/Muslim nations to exist free of foreign intervention.

Paleo-libertarian – Similar to other libertarians except for oppostion to mass immigration, and shares the paleocon appreciation of the South.

Radical – Critical of bouregois morality and strongly opposed to capitalism and willing to use state power to achieve desired ends.

Third-way
– More supportive of foreign intervention than liberals and less supportive of economic regulation, coupled with more-or-less progressive social views. “Third-way” is to liberal what neoconservative is to conservative.

Now that this was said……You decide!

  1. There are too many important issues out there to be hung up on labels and the desire to label people. Why is it necessary for political pundits to label people’s political affiliation? Why is it necessary for voters to label people? I think it is a divide and keep people fighting each other tatic. Our “big brother” government likes that very much! Why is it necessary to call Ron Paul names when describing your opinions? One person. One blog. One opinion. By the way, a Ron Paul supporter SHOULD NOT HAVE called you any names or gave you any labels. That only speaks about the person you spoke with and not what Ron Paul wishes to accomplish. My best to you!

    Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately there are labels for just about everything in this world.It is not just the political pundits who are labeling people’s political affiliation but people themselves choose which issues that they support and then select a politician who they believe will also support and represent those issues. (Republic of the USA)
    Obviously there are slight differences of opinion within the same political affiliation but as I said “Slight” You would never find someone on the political “Left” a “Liberal” or “Democrat” who will, whole heartedly agree with someone from the right “Republican” Conservative” on issues such as Gay marriage or Abortion, etc, therefor like minded and people with like morals tend to group together and support each other on what they believe. Thus creating affiliations or “Labels” such as in religion, politics, race, etc. If it were not for the choice of representatives for president in the USA, we would be a Monarchy, or Dictatorship, supporting one ruler with only one title of his choosing. Or we would be like Muslims and believe our laws are dictated literally by our God and impose this way of thinking on everyone.

    As for calling Ron Paul names……If I believe someone who is running for the ofice of President of the United States of America is “Nuts” or “Insane” I have the right to say so, you see that is part of the benefit of free speech in this country. I am not punished or persecuted for stating my opinions, or what I have determined is fact. I believe that calling a politician what he is, even if I use less than “Nice” names for him, is a lot better than some of his supporters calling me a “moronic flag waving American” or worse. With that comment this person just insinuated that all Americans who wave flags are Moronic.

    I also feel that since I vote, pay taxes, and am here legally, I have the right to discuss American politics and complain or praise the Americans in or running for office first, before non voters, or foreigners who neither live in this country, nor vote here.

  3. I agree with the fact that each has a right to make their own decisions. It’s my opinion that name calling is wrong by anyone. It takes you back to the playground in grade school. Doesn’t it? Just like Mark, I think that labels are stupid. I know why they exist but I don’t agree with using them. Each individual has a right to their own choices and beliefs whether I, or anyone else, agrees with them or not. You and I are polar opposites on most of the issues you’ve named but that’s ok. THAT is what makes America great, IMHO, not it’s foreign OR domestic policy. We need alot of help on those things.

  4. Liz, If you do not believe in labels then how would you select a politician to represent you, since they all have labels? do you just close your eyes and hope for the best? Do you even vote at all? and if you do, I bet it’s either Democrat or Libertarian. Judging from your comment that says “you and I are polar opposites on most of the issues named”?!?!?!? What issues? I seriously doubt that you list yourself as an Independent (Labels and all) I would bet that you are not a Republican or Conservative either….

    What does that leave? I guess that since you don’t like labels then you must be a Nomad who does not have any opinions worth fighting or voting for and will not, or rather Should not, vote for The President of The United States since you would have to pick a “Labeled” Candidate, as there is no one running that will state that they are not a member of any political party. OK enough I know you are either a Socialist or a Liberal (More Labels) come on why do you people always hide behind this spewing of propaganda? why not be like the Homosexuals and come out of the closet?

    Liz, You are right about name calling being childish….I can’t argue with that part. It is just that this such a “Hot Topic” and since I am not running for office, lol, I feel that I can get down in the mud and sling it right back into the face of the commenter’s who sling it at me. Though not the most intellectual way to argue, it does have its merits.

    Certainly you don’t mean the US Military because that is a Berzerkly Fantasy! You are just repeating what you have heard from Paul’s supporters, there is no proof that the US military want someone like Ron Paul to be President of The USA.

    AND No proof of the donations that they supposedly made, either. The majority of his donations are coming from White Supremacists and Nazis….See my post with the references to the proof.

    Although you just might be one of the majority as you stated, blacks are no less victims of this propaganda for Ron Paul and, just like anyone else, can fall victim to supporting someone or something that is not really in their best interest

    Dr. Paul never blamed the US for the attackes on 9-11 you didn’t read the transcripts or you didn’t see the debate. Instead he suggested it was our policy’s which resulted and aided 9-11.

    As far as the veto stance for the proposed bills if you support the law of the land you would have opposed them as well.

    Besides did you read each bill and the admendments attached? Most do not but instead post a number of bills to make is appear paul is anti this or that. Keep in mind when you read the so called patriot act I find nothing patrotic about this bill due to the fact you and I can be deemed actual terrrorist without a fair trail, contacting family, etc.

    It isn’t my intention to argure is you or or not a Neo-con but it’s my strong assertion that the best way to support the troops is to end the war as bush promised by Christmas the first year.

    By the way Bush did claim victory in Iraq and made a big deal about it by landing for the press stunt.

    While my loved ones are in Iraq fighting in an illegal war his daughters are no longer babies and he has lost some of the best years of his daughters life.

    No WMD’s, not threat to our nation at all. So supporiting Bush’s lies will not change the facts.

    Most all the pro war hawks never fight in battle or serve. Ron Paul has. I have never served in service but I have started a non profit to help the returning vets.

    By the way your introduction to neoconservative paints a blue sky view. I would suggest you study the father of the neoconservative movement and find he was in fact a supporter of the Nazi party. In fact many of the issues we face now are very similar to the plans of hitler. You only need to do your own research to discover the facts.

    In closing I have been a GOP member for over 20 years and I have supported the limited gov view I never voted for the actions that Bush has pursued if he had been honest with us I would have not voted for Bush at all but rather the Constitution Party.

    Never forget a wise statement from Reagan.

Ron Paul was the only one who said he would consult congress.

    A vote for any other GOP member other then Ron Paul is a vote against the constitution!

    I don’t agree with President Bush on 100% of what he stands for either, after all he is no conservative and has disappointed many of us conservatives in the past and I am sure until he is out of office, he will continue to do so. However President Bush was the best choice for President, (both terms.)

    As for my vote counting?? are you serious? every vote against Ron Paul counts, it’s just too bad that people who would be voting for the best conservative candidates and not a wacko like Paul, are bleeding votes from a true conservative candidate such as Tom Tancredo or Fred Thompson.
