Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President.
If the framers of our constitution merely intended for birth alone on U.S. soil then all would had been necessary was to say the President shall be “native born.”
Barack Obama is not qualified to be president after all for the following reason:

McCain is legally qualified for the presidency, he was born on an American military installation. American military installations are legally considered American territories, as well as our embassies, and anyone born there are constitutionally cansidered American-by-birth. That covers McCain’s qualification.
Obama, on the other hand, is a different story. There are claims that he was born in Kenya, unsubstantiated as of yet, but that is only a small part of the story. The dual citizenship with Indonesia wasn’t his fault as a young child and can’t really be held against him, until he renewed his Indonesian passport at the age of 20 and used that passport to travel to Pakistan at a time that no American was allowed there. That is were the easiest substantiable facts are to disqualify Obama. The Supreme Court case of Vance v. Terrazas, 444 U.S. 252(1980) would appear to cover this case in that a. Indonesia did not accept dual-citizenship until 2001, whereas Obama renewed his citizenship and passport in 1981, thereby accepting the terms of Indonesian citizenship on Indonesia’s terms as an adult and on his own accord. The reaffirmation of citizenship would have included a renounciation of US citizenship but cannot be conclusively proved at this time since my inquiries to the Indonesian Embassy were ignored prior to and since the Nov. 4 election. However, it can be safely assumed that traveling to Pakistan in 1980 would qualify as a voluntary act of renounciation due to the fact that Obama would have known that “Americans” were not allowed in Pakistan at that time.

First of all MCCAIN was born in Panama on a ARMY BASE. Which is American territories which means hes qualified to be president. I think Obama was born in Hawaii or Kenya. Anyways its too late to say he cant be the next president because he was voted most electoral votes. PS Hawaii is part of the united states of America and Panama belonged to the U.S. at the time when McCain was born.I would have done a little bit more research before i posted this blog if I were you.

robd2, PS Your an Idiot! first of all let me say that you are not just an idiot, but are also ignorant of what the constitution of the United States calls a “natural born citizen” Obama does not qualify under this and neither does McCain. You are right that Hawaii is part of the USA, however Obamas father being a citizen under the crown of England makes his son Barack NOT a “Natural Born Citizen” Look it up before you make statements of someone elses ignorance!
To further your education……being born on a foreign military base is not USA Property,(Not considered American Soil) it never was! Therefore McCain is disqualified under this as NOT a “natural born citizen”

All credible reports state that Pres. Elect Obama was born in Hawaii, which would make him a natural born U.S. citizen. However, his mother (who no one on this site has mentioned as if she doesn’t count) was a natural born U.S. citizen. This means that even if he was born in Kenya he would be considered as having duel citizenship.

Like most people who voted for Obama I consider myself a moderate, democrat. I do not think Obama is perfect. He is not as experienced as I would have liked, however he was a Senator of a large state and managed that job very well. He also has a documented history of working for the betterment of his community and country, both a lawyer and a private citizen. He seems to love and respect his wife and adore his children. That is more that many of today’s politicians can say. If any infidelities existed I’m sure the opposition would have brought them to light before or during the election.
All indications are, that he is an intelligent, charismatic, good hearted man. He will do his best to get our country back on track economically and internationally. As a Christian I feel it my duty to pray for him and our country to do well. I pray God will give him wisdom. By the way, I did this for Bush even though I did not vote for him.
