Craigslist Scammers and crooks
Do you post items for sale on Craigslist? Most everyone does or knows someone who has. Well there are a lot of scammers trolling Craigslist looking to steal your merchandise……..
Please take note that craigslist posts big warning boxes on their site advising you do deal locally, etc, yada yada yada……
These scammers will usually use the same types of email verbiage (see the example that I posted below) They always say that they are out of town or out of the country for some reason and want to wire you a check or even pay you through PayPal (They know that Paypal appears to look legit, because it is an escrow service, but there are major loopholes in the PayPal system.) They usually target items with an asking price in excess of $100.00 and more, however I have been targeted with items as low as $50.00. Also they will sweeten the offer by appealing to your greed and offering you more than you ask for the item, for the inconvenience of shipping, etc.
I have also posted high end items on Craigslist in excess of $1,000 and have received the same types of scam offers to buy my item, over and over again.
What types of offers? Take a look at the following and see if you have been victimized by these crooks, degenerates ass-clowns and monkey Fuc*ers from Nigeria, through Craigslist:
These people sometimes start off with a leader email such as “Do you still have the item for sale, sold or you already dealing with a potential buyer.?“ OR “Hello i just want to know if this item is still up for sale and how much is gonna cost me thanks and hope to hear from u ASAP“
Sounds innocent right? The first alert is the bad grammar! Also they are never in town, which they will tell you once you reply to their leader email. If you reply to these assboners, this is a sample of what you get:
From pj064real@gmail.com AKA Tamera Lewis
Thanks for your reply and am glad to know that it is still available for sale. However i have few questions on the product you are selling.
1,I would like to know the reason you are selling it?
2,What is the current condition of the item ?
3,What is your firm price, though am okay with the listing price ?
4,Do you have the original box and the receipt for it ?
5,Do you mind if i pay through paypal even though i would cover the shipping because am currently not local at the moment,Am out of town participating in a research project and i would like to purchase this item from you on behalf of my colleague for the replacement of her crashed computer and i think this is the best thing i could buy for her as gift because she did the same when i lost my computer……If you do not have a PayPal account, you can do so by going to www.PayPal.com and set up your account it is free, easy and guarantees transaction safety.Once you send me your paypal email account, I will send you the payment for your item as well as $100 USD to cover shipping via USPS EXPRESS MAIL INTL.
I would be glad if my request is favorably considered.
ThanksOR

Hi,
Its great asking if this item is still available for sale
Get back to me asapHello,
Am okay with the price
Do you still have it with you???
How old is the item,?
Does it work perfectly?
Am located in cedar rapids Iowa but i’m presently out of state to
Albanian for work shop seminar..and this unit is exact of what i want
for my representative as a Xmas gift..so i will add an extra $190.00
USD as the shipping charges confirm from http://www.usps.com (EMS
SPEED POST) for international shipping…And i will make the total if
you can help me handle the shipping perfectly..You can send me your
PayPal email ID or a PayPal money request through PayPal and i’ll
proceed with the Payment right away…
There are hundreds of these emails posted on the internet, warning of this fraud, and just as many stories of people being taken advantage of by these scammers. When will you learn? That is why these people keep doing this… It’s a numbers game for them and it apparently, it pays off.
I like to have a bit of fun with these fools and act like I am interested in their proposition, then I finally tell them off .
What’s your experience with this?

Before buying or selling anything on CraigsList, you must have a look at this site! Search the entire site by First Name, Last Name, Email-Address, etc. to see if that person buying from or selling too is who they say they are. Dont be the next victim of an internet crook!
People really need to start checking sites like http://www.craiglistcrooks.com before they buy or selling anything on that site. Since craigslist isn’t like Ebay with it’s rating system and tying user accounts to an accounts bank account, people can basically go on there anonymously and sell fake crap and never get caught (unless the person being screwed gets reealllly lucky). That site has caused it’s share of headaches for me and I’ll never buy or sell anything on there before checking sites like craigslistcrooks.com to see if there are complaints about them.
This one just in from Collins. Surprised he hasn’t changed his email address.

To be honest Collins, this sounds a little dodgy! For starters, the bed is selling for €125, not €150.
If you are in Paris or have a contact in Paris, I will happily deal in personal cheque or virement.
Please let me know if you are still interested.

Phone Number: your momma is a monkey
First of all….How dare you claim to be a US Marine? That is the most despicable part of your scam! You could not be the shit in a latrine of a U.S. Anything let alone a Marine! Your attempt at using English, or lack of it, gives you away right off the bat. (some statements like: Thanks you for the response? and I am ready to make instant purchase? and just the whole bullshit letter that you are a US Marine and will arrange for pickup?…… really? come on Grow a pair and find a real job you loser piece of shit)
Does this type of scam even still work for you? I appreciate you sending me this as I am posting it on my blog for others to be forewarned about this type of scam, and that they still do exist. No one would have believed, someone like you, would be so stupid or desperate enough to even attampt a dumbass scam like this without this email as proof….. hahahahahaha
Johnnie Walker? come on, really? (Whiskey?) Could you pick a name that better suits your kind? lol. How about Fish Faced fag lover ape monkey loving mouth breeder @gmail.com….That is a better name for you.
In closing I hope that you may find a conscience because you obviously do not have one . Read the Bible and practice what it says so you can keep from going to hell and joining Obama and the rest of your friends and family there.
p.s. Send any of your “Certified Checks” to FBI headquarters, I am sure that they would like to get a hold of one of them.
Watch out for jmsgril@gmail.com. Tried to SCAM me out of $3,000.
I am SO glad I found this information on your site! I posted an ad for a diamond engagement ring, $3K. jmsgril@gmail.com was my first contact! The email she sent was almost identical to the one posted up above! I knew it didn’t seem right, so I searched for the email address to see if I could find any information. Whew. I will tell her to shove my diamond up her crazy a$$ self! Thank you again……so much!
I had my camera listed for sale on Craigslist and low and behold The scammer came out of the wood work…
His scam started like this:
First email to me: Do you still have your item for sale?
I reluctantly reply: “Yes” my gut telling me that this could be another Craigslist scam.
Their reply and scam to my saying Yes:
Email from:Clark Denilson wrote:

Now My reply to the scammer:
Are you local? No I don’t believe that you are. Did you hack and steal the email you are using or do your masters set up new ones for you to use? I would like to show you this item face to face, and in person….I’d really like that.
First, obviously, I believe that you are just another Craigslist scammer who is such a low life that they will steal from citizens.
people like you usually lack in English grammar and make the most subtle mistakes which are enough to recognize that they are one of those terrible foreign skunk people. You are not one of those are you? I mean a low life garbage scammer who should get infected with a terrible disease as long as you are on this earth. because after you die you are going to hell anyway but still you should suffer while you are here too
Your King, Barack Hussein Obama says hello and says that he ripped off more money from hard working Americans than you this year, so you need to try and catch up.
As for the pictures you asked for, well they are here waiting for you, with me. Yes I have them here for you……. would you like to come out and see them? No? I thought not.
How does it feel to have to steal and eek out a meager stinking living in an impoverished environment? Living your miserable poverty and filth filled life as a third world ugly and malnourished criminal, while we Americans are living the life of luxury being able to work and purchase the fine items (that you try to steal from us) and use them in our beautiful and clean homes…. Homes, which are warm, clean and have fine furnishings and plenty of food in our kitchens?
In closing, I hope that you enjoyed my opinion of you and the people? like you, who have no better life that to try and scam Craigslist sellers… Shame on you! Maybe if you Pray and Find Jesus, you will repent and be an honest human being instead of the godless heathen animal that you are now. You really suck and I hope you get caught or turned on and beaten by someone just like you. GET A CONSCIENCE AND A LIFE.
wow this is unbelievable. i wish my roommate and i had did the research. little miss jennifer at jmsgril@gmail.com strikes again. i posted on craigs list for a 1caret dimond neclace, got the same email with the same question exactly to what you got. it struck me that she didnt even care about the price of 2200 . But this was the first time for doing this and boy did i get scamed she got the necklace and i got screwed…the jewely had sentimental meaning to me ….i will never use craigs list again…..!!!!!1 what can a person really do when this happens? Do i report them? i even tryed to stop the delivery of the pkg. to late for that i believe..all i can say is that carma needs to catch up to her quickly…….I am going to post this on Facebook and on craigs list….so that know else hopefully wont get scamed…poeple like that need to be stoped…you are a total looser jennifer……i hope you get stoprd and caught soon…..
just got an email did a search on the sender but that email showed nothing I hit reply and realized after I hit send that the email was now slightly different and now I found this site! Within a few minutes I received this email
Good to hear from you, however i have few questions on the product you are selling.

2,What is the current condition of the item ?
3,What is your firm price, though am okay with the listing price ?
4,Do you have the original box,all the paperwork and the receipt for it ?
5,Do you mind if i pay through paypal even though i will add an extra dollars to cover the shipping to CALIFORNIA
Am purchase as a gift for someone very special to me.
If you do not have a PayPal account, you can do so by going to http://www.PayPal.com and set up your account it is free, easy and guarantees transaction safety.Once you send me your paypal email account, I will send you the payment for your item as well as $100 to cover shipping overnight Shipment
I would be glad if my request is favorably considered
from
jmsgril@gmail.com
I cant get over this person can still contact people from this email! I want to mess with them!
What exactly is the scam? If they send money via PayPal and you ship the item to California, aren’t you covered by PayPal’s Seller Protection? I’m not sure I understand the scam here.
Ever hear of stolen Pay Pal accounts? PayPal is geared to protect the buyer not so much the seller.
jmsgril@gmail.com tried to scam me out of a $7000 ring but thanks to some of these posted it was confirmed it was a scam. Thanks everyone!!!!
jmsgril@gmail.com tried to get me too, Thank God I didnt follow through and Thank God for this website, i dont usually post to these things but I felt inclined to in this case.
Here is another small time email spam/scam and the idiots probably didn’t even realize they have a phone number in the sent from…………”(415) 316-5258″

I am little embarrassed to say that jmsgril@gmail.com got me too 7/17/2012 for $7500.00 diamond ring. I have filed a complaint with the New York Attorney General’s office giving them all her, (I think it might be a he) copies of the emails, I have also contacted my local police and filed a report with them and the feds too, at: ic3.gov\complaint\default.aspx all I can say is I believe in what goes around will come back around and it ain’t over until the fat lady sings. There is new software out that you can uncloak their IP address and get their location. These email addresses are also associated with “Jennifer”? Justin Dixon Allphaseconts1@gmail.com, Amanda Soge (allphaseconts1@gmail.com), Michael Cons, 628 S. San Julian st, Los Angeles, Ca 90014 at, service@paypal.com, Nicole Munoze, jmsgril@gmail.com, “Jennifer Lynn” , Laura Henke/Donna Falco persona was a California area code, lauraahenke@gmail.com
Then, depending on your income tax bracket, you may be able to take a deduction for the loss on your 1040. You need to have a police report filed in order to do that, however. You can explain to them that you do not expect action, but need the fraud report number to use in claiming the loss. On your taxes.
Here is the information on the IRS website regarding claiming the loss:
http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc515.html
Craigslist ads can be restricted by saying you will only deal with local buyers.
I am also very embarrassed to say this scam also took advantage of me and my family for 2 rings valued at over $ 10,000 on Craigs list… I have also filed a report with the New York Attorney General’s office giving them all the information as well. If anyone has any additional information on how I can locate these folks, I will assure all of you, I will take care of this with your help ! My wife died of cancer and due to the cancer bills I was forced to sell these rings. For these people to take advantage of all of us is something that I will not be tolerated. I will stop at NOTHING to find them…. Please help me with anything you can including shipping addresses, IP names, anything at all to help my search. I will take care of the rest and I assure all of you the pain and suffering all of us suffered will be taken care of….
I was almost rooked by Allphaseconts1@gmail.com. Luckily my son caught it in time and we were able to intercept the package. I sent it USPS instead of UPS as requested. With UPS, they would have delivered, in my case, an empty, foreclosed property and I would have been defrauded of $2300.00. This guy was very sophisticated. He was able to send pseudo PayPal confirmations to my email account. It really looked legitimate to me. I got lucky and got my package back before delivery. Try using USPS if you can. They normally will not deliver to unoccupied homes. Plus, if they get caught, it is a Federal wire fraud case. Good luck
Yup, you can always tell these people, I decided to google this email jmsgril@gmail.com, because the wording was way off compared to other legit responses I got, and here I land, another scam. but I am going to report it to FTC, I would not send anything in the mail in the first place, not even $30 bucks worth, and Paypal is something I dont trust, never have. Thanks for this blog!
Latest was for a quad valued at $2200 from “Ricky Bertrand” aka kim.cowgurl@gmail.com claiming to be a marine engineer overseas buying it for his son. beware!
thank you all for helping me to determine that my Jennifer Lynn contact thru craigslist was a scam. My gut told me to google the email address which lead me to this website! Thank you all so much for the insight. I feel horrible for the people that went thru with the transactions. Its horrible that people turn such an innoncent thing of selling something into something so horrible and devistating. Good luck to everyone. I hope these scammers burn!
Ditto, on an attempted scam by Nicole Munoze at allphaseconts1@gmail.com, or whoever this weasel is. This crook wanted to buy my $3500 Rolex listed on Craigslist and have it shipped to San Diego. Was willing to pay the PayPal fees and an extra $100 to cover expedited shipping; claimed to be on an oil rig with restricted phone access and only able to use PayPal as payment source.
I was a little suspicious from the start, but went ahead and supplied my PayPal email address for payment.
I received an “official” email confirmation from PayPal of payment received the next day with an explanation as to why the payment would not show up on my PayPal account immediately – that explanation being that PayPal needed the tracking # of the shipped package before posting the payment to my account “for the security of the buyer…”. Strange, I don’t remember that being a policy of PayPal: red flag #1.
These low-lifes are smart, but this one must have been having an “off day”. The “official” email payment confirmation was sent to an address that I use for selling items on Craigslist, it’s not my PayPal email address. This “confirmation” was not sent to my PayPal email address: big red flag #2.
Of course, I logged into my PP acct. and found no mention of a payment received from this scammer. I did a Google search for the email address of the buyer supplied in the PP payment confirmation and ended up on this site. What a great service this blog is! Thanks for maintaining vigilance over these latest PP scams.
My brother is selling a $4k diamond ring using my paypal account. The email address is amandasoge12@gmail.com I typed in Amanda Soge and this thread came out. I just sent the invoice through using paypal. I can now assume it is a fake. Whew!
A friend of mine is trying to sell a $4k ring on craigslist and was contacted by a potential buyer within the last few days. They asked all the same questions that were mentioned previously. We went ahead and sent them an invoice through Pay Pal. I also was curious and googled the buyers email address: amandasoge12@gmail.com and found this thread. I assume since we have not sent the ring we should be OK? We have not provided them with our PayPal account number. They do have whatever information of mine is on the invoice however. Am I at further risk from these scammers???
After reading this I went ahead and canceled the PayPal invoice I had sent to: amandasoge12@gmail.com
It was a Hilton, New York zip code they provided us when were trying to calculate shipping costs. Just FYI Good luck everyone.
Just watch your paypal account, maybe change your password? Anyway you should be ok since you now have the knowledge that you need to help combat these scammers and scumbags who are the thorn in the side of the honest person.
I just got scammed by allphaseconts1@gmail.com. I lost a 4500.00 diamond ring. Do I have any recourse.
I’m trying to sell a $39,000 Tiffany & Co diamond ring, and got contacted by “Jessica Twyford” through two different e-mail addresses: shipmjul@aol.com jmsgril@gmail.com ; and also from David Gabriel Rodriguez with two differnet e-mail addresses davidyallo09@gmail.com davidyallo02@att.net . They want to “pay” – or scam, using PayPal, and want the ring shipped to FL or CA…
Well allphaseconts1@gmail is still going strong. Tried to get me outta a $4000 ring, but his paypal emails are full of grammar mistakes. He claimed to be Joeseph Lobda of Vero Beach, Florida. Got another today… Sherree Eshun of Harrisburg, PA but the phone number she texted from is a Montana area code. the email is agent.williams@rocketmail.com….
